What the First $5,000 Will Accomplish
Secure site deposit and initial fees: $1,000
Cover earnest money and administrative costs to move forward on a suitable property or long-term lease that allows rescue and sanctuary operations.Emergency shelter and quarantine setup: $1,500
Purchase materials for temporary but secure quarantine housing and immediate-care pens, plus basic veterinary supplies to stabilize newly rescued birds and small farm animals.Build one permanent Purple Door coop/enclosure: $1,200
Construct a predator-resistant coop and attached run sized to house an initial group of animals safely, including durable flooring, nesting areas, roosts, and secure locking doors.Rehabilitation and enrichment resources: $600
Provide heat lamps, bedding, feeding and watering systems, perches, and enrichment items that speed recovery and improve welfare during rehabilitation.Site infrastructure and safety: $400
